XL SPIKE AND EVENTS ON EEG WHAT DOES THIS MEAN?

Mon, 12/05/2016 - 12:55
Hiya, I'm 22 and I've recently been diagnosed with Epilpesy following my first seizure in March. My dr's thought I was having panick attacks (I started to be believe so myself) but in fact it was temporal lobe seizures. I'm currently sitting at home all wired up to the EEG monitor at home. As much as the nurse told me not to look at the screen I couldn't help me self. I can now see XL events and XL spike! Does anyone know what this means?! Now I'm worrying myself silly that something is still going on up in my brain! Can any one help?

Why are you looking at things

Why are you looking at things you can't read or understand?? I didn't because I can't read the EEG and know where in your brain they were coming from or what kind of spikes or waves would be. The EEG is for other things other then epilepsy. ADHD, ALHZ and Parkinson's are a few other things that stem from the central nervous system. so relax and let the nurse and neurologist do their jobs. It has to be read and then carefully looked at in order for them to give you the information that is on it
