VEEG- Big disappointment

Mon, 10/09/2006 - 10:34
I was in for one week, and didn't have a single seizure, even w/ stressful family crap going on that caused me to leave a week earlier. Course, the second I get outside in the sunshine and in the car going down the thruway I start feeling those strange feelings again. Not seizures, but strange sensations (ie. movement in the absence of actually moving). Anyone have any comments???

Im sorry you went thru all that for nothing....do you think you might have pseudo seizures OR just that the machine didnt record because you werent having seizures that week....I have panic disorder but black out during my MAJOR attacks.....i dont have auras or weird smells, etc etc etc....I just have a weird, atypical panic disorder.....my neuro thinks its atypical panic but said there is a 20 percent chance it might be epilepsy but doubts it in my case....BUT wants me to do the VEEG.......I decided that I dont want to put myself thru it.....I dont think it would be worth it for me........it was not an easy decision......but in my case, I dont think its epilepsy and even if it werer, the drugs for E sound worse than the ones for panic disorder.........

Dear M, They could be pseudo, but I doubt it. I'm gonna start w/ Lexapro, in case they are, and if I have any more between now and the meeting with the epi specialist we will have to come up w/ a different plan. Sam
