Telemetry Video EEG

Fri, 09/26/2014 - 17:09
I've been admitted to an specialty hospital for a telemetry Video EEG. I've been here for few days already and no seizure events. Medications have been D/C as well and still no seizure events. What happens if no seizure can be produced. I've had seizures since 17 and am now 22. Is it possible to have an seizure disorder and not have any seizure activity on an EEG.

You need to understand that

You need to understand that there can be seizure activity in the EEG without having a seizure.  Yes there are seizures without being called epilepsy. Psudo seizures do happen to many people are missdiagnosed. To understand more look up the National seizure disorder foundation

You may ask your neurologist

You may ask your neurologist or EEG testing lab/company to perform ambulatory EEG. You would carry recorder on your belt until event occurs. But the previous post was right, you can have seizure activity without being aware. If video component is added, a seizure may be captured when brain wave activity shows normal patterns.
