Seizures vs ADD

Wed, 10/15/2014 - 19:09

Hi, just wondering if anyone can help me understand the difference of symptons due with having seizures & having ADD. For example, concentration issues, misplacing things, short term memory loss, getting side-tracked easily etc. I have complex partial seizures & tonic-clonic seizures but they are pretty much under control at this time. However, I still have all the issues stated above. I recently remembered that a long time ago one of my doctors said he thought I may have ADD but at that time my seizures were so out of control they did not explore this issue. Any thoughts.........

Have you checked the medications that are used for ADD? If not then try to find out what the medications are. I do believe they are stimulants which calm down the central nervious system.  Then go check out the medications sued for epilepsy because many of them also have stemulants in them too.
