Seizure? What type?

Sat, 04/21/2007 - 22:20
Recently I was at work and performing Reception type duties. As I was entering data into the computer, I was also speaking with a customer. I started feeling a little odd and the customer went and sat down. I continued to enter data when suddenly I felt as though I was waking up out of a dream. I couldn't remember what I had been doing, how much time had elapsed or who the woman was sitting down at the table. I knew that I knew her for some reason... As I sat there I began to piece it together. "Oh, yeah, I was just speaking with her..." Then a colleague came up to me and asked where my other colleage, Martin, was. I couldn't remember who Martin was or what he would be doing or where he would be. I just told him "I don't know". I started feeling better shortly after, but I have never had that type of experience before. Does that sound like a type of seizure? Would it be an Absence seizure or are there any other types I should look into?

Hi.. No worries as many people only have one seizure in their entire lives. So, it takes more than one seizure to indicate a person may have epilepsy. "About half of the people who have one seizure without a clear cause will have another one, usually within 6 months." "If you do have two seizures, there's about an 80% chance that you'll have more." http://www.epilepsy.com/101/ep101_seizure.html ~sol
