http://www.epilepsynse.org.uk/pages/info/leaflets/eeg.cfm Someone can have a normal EEG in between seizures and still have the possibility that they have epilepsy. You can also have an abnormal EEG and NOT have epilepsy, in some cases. The longer the EEG the greater the chances of getting information. Adding sleep deprivation and other triggers can also help to show if seizures are going on. The best thing is when they see a seizure while someone is hooked up to rule in or out epilepsy.
