Provoked seizures for the non-epileptic

Sun, 12/13/2015 - 13:02

I have a couple of questions I can't find the answer to. If someone who is non-epileptic and has a grand-mal seizure (general seizure) because it was provoked lets say from drug overdose, does the generalized seizure happen because there was a focal disruption or do they just automatically have a gran-mal? If it was discovered that the person had a seizure because it was provoked, of course there would be some huge abnormality within the first couple of days but at what point would the brain stabilze?
