Possible Temporal Lobe Epilepsy?

Thu, 11/20/2014 - 07:00

Hello anyone?

My name is Dan im 16 years old and ive been suffering from these weird 'migraines' (didn't know what else to call them), which i been having since about the age of 10. I have these odd episodes about once every 1-3 months and the whole thing lasts for about 3 days. On the first day i have one 'episode' which lasts for about 30sec-2min, and is often and off sense of deja vu, with other weird symptoms which are almost impossible to describe. On the 2nd day, i have these same episodes but at least 3 times throughout the day, and often result in a headache. On the night of the 2nd day, in my sleep, i have similar episodes which are somewhat painful in my head, and on the 3rd day i suffer from a pounding headache which lasts majority of the day. The next few days some of my senses arent quite right (particularly taste).

My symptons change and continue to change. For example, back when i was 10 i had a headache after the first episode, but now i dont have it til the 3rd day. Just this past week, i have experienced just 1 episode, once a day. This episode mainly involves a dream or a thought which i feel like i have been unconciously thinking about previously, but i have no recollection of it. After about 30 seconds of the episode i feel fine again, but find it very difficult to remember what happened in the episode, even if a write it down straight away. Other past synonyms also include speech errors (saying incorrect words, not knowing how to express correctly, or forgetting what i had just said).

Ive tried doing some research lately and have found things like Temperal Lobe Epilepsy, which seems like the closest to what i have been feeling.

Any ideas?

Thanks xx
