partial seizures in series?

Sun, 02/25/2007 - 11:28
My husband's neurologist suspects he has temporal lobe epilepsy. My question is, does anyone know if people with partial epilepsy can have seizures in a series? My husband will have an event lasting about 5-15 seconds, then be okay for a few minutes, then have another, be okay for a while, etc. These series of attacks last 30 to 35 minutes before completely gone. He will have an episode like this maybe once a day to once in three days, more often if he is exhausted. He never loses consciousness, but does see an aura of blue light around my face when I'm there, feels nausea just before, his face gets slack and he stares, his throat tightens up for a few seconds so he can't swallow or breathe (very scary,) limbs get rigid and sometimes shake a little. He's taking Lamictal and says he feels better in general but these events continue. Anyone have any comments or advice?
