Not responding to meds? Is it celiac disease?

Fri, 01/27/2012 - 22:26

If you have been just diagnosed, eeg's and other tests are all normal, not responding to medications, have extreme fatigue, digestive issues that cannot be explained, joint pain, and other symptoms have your doctor test for celiac.  I was diagnosed with epilepsy about ten years ago, I just discovered that celiac disease and epilepsy can be linked and I am going to be tested.  I have been on a keppra and topamax combo for about six months and have been seizre free for about eight months.  Please read this attached article and let me know what you all think.

I think I may just start eating gluten free for a little while, and hopefully for I may start feeling a little better.
