Need help w/ EEG results.....

Mon, 01/08/2007 - 22:41
Saw neurologist today for followup appt. on the ambulatory EEG. I had no events while hooked up. She said it was not showing any epileptiform discharges like sharp waves or spikes; but it did show "slowing" in my left hemisphere. anyone know what this means? the neuro said it could mean "many kinds of things" not just one. how should I interpret it? she didn't seem too concerned by it ~pamela

Did you ever get any answers? I've had 3 EEG's with epileptiform discharges, one ambulatory EEG with nocturnal seizures recorded, a VEEG that was "unremarkable" in '05 and a recent EEG that is showing slowing in left frontal lobe. I'm currently on Topomax 400 daily and experiencing some issues again. I'm scheduled for another VEEG and the epilepologist states all of the above can mean little if anything. Just wondering how you made out.
