MRI, EEG & Possible Surgery

This is my first time posting so I hope this is the right section. Anyways, I was diagnosed with primary generalized epilepsy after my first seizure almost 4 years ago when I was 17. I went seizure free without any medication for 2 years then I suddenly had my second grand-mal which is when I decided to try medication. Dilantin was first and the side effects were unbearable so I weaned off to lamotrigene and had another seizure while I was switching the drugs. 5 months after being seizure free on lamotrigene I had two more grand-mals in 1 week, my dosage of lamo. was upped and that was all until a month-and-a half-later when I started seizing again. It got to the point where I had atleast five seizures in 3 weeks and I wasn't even making it seizure free for 1 month and when I did have seizures it would be followed be another an hour or so later, sometime during this I was prescribed Clobazam aswell so I was on two meds. but the honey-moon period ended and I had another where I was then prescribed Keppra aswell so now I'm on a cocktail of the three. I've been on Keppra for almost 6 months now with no seizures, but I have another MRI coming up this 18th with a follow up from my neurologist. Nothings shown up in CT scans so I'm not sure if they will find anything and I'm still waiting to hear about a second EEG appointment. If anyones been in a similar situation I would love your advice because my neurologist also mentioned the possibility of VNS or surgery to remove the possibly affected part of my brain. I honestly have no idea what the outcome will be if they find something or if they don't. My main concern is being on all these medications and losing my memory before I'm even 25 :/
