Looking for answers for my husband....

This has been going on off and on for years, recently it has gotten more frequent since he had a job promotion and is working longer hours and under extreme stress. Last night had me really worried more than usual. It starts by him starting to look tired, grumpy. He was eating dinner and just was picking at it, still eating it but dropping it all over his lap also. He becomes pretty unresponsive and if I talk to him he just stares at me. I usually have to ask several times or yell at him to maybe get half an answer that may or may not make sense. I had to clean the food off his pants and he was half swatting at me the whole time, then he threw his hat at me as I walked away and said "piece of ****" just out of nowhere. He continued to sit there and stare off, he kept doing a random sarcastic sounding laugh and kind of smacking his lips. After several minutes he fell asleep sitting up for awhile. I have no idea if this is some type of seizure or what but it is not normal.

It could very well be a seizure. Set up an appointment with a neurologist that specializes in epilepsy. He may not like it but if it is epilepsy and was a seizure then if he doesn't start getting treatment they will become more frequent and stronger.
