EEG test question

Thu, 02/19/2015 - 20:40

I had an eeg test yesterday. Doing a workup for possible seizures. During the breathing portion of the test, I began to get a very bad feeling (sensation) in my head. I was not dizzy and I did not feel sick to my stomach. It was so bad though that I started to have tears start rolling down the side of my face during the test. A few times, I almost stopped the test, because it felt that bad, but I pushed through it. Is that an indication that something was abnormal, or is that a "normal" reaction to the test in general?

each portion of the test can show where abnormalities are comming from. You had a problem with breathing. They have another portion for light sensativity, which shows people who can have seizures triggered by changing lights. Yes something like a disco ball can affect someone and cause them to have seizures. even some video games or sunlight flickering thru trees can cause seizures in some people. I am no doctor and do noy know how to read the EEG's so I can't say if that part of the EEG will show abnormaloties or not.I leave that to the neurologist,  I had problems in areas of my EEG's but many came back normal.
