Clearing my ears during EEG

Fri, 06/17/2016 - 09:12
I had spikes-wave complexes on my awake, routine EEG. I found out that these are bad. But, during the test I had a sinus infection that was bothering me and I cleared my ears four or five times. When I saw the report for myself i said there were four complexes counted and I'm wondering if they had anything to do with me "popping" my ears. I tried to ask my doctor this question, and she said it would not have the "slow part" after the spike, but I don;t know what this means. I want to get another test where I don't have a sinus infection. Can anyone offer advice? Can clearing the eustachian tube in my ears cause these complexes?
