AUGH! Monday morning appointment

Thu, 11/30/2006 - 09:24
So my doctor just called me back. He has a report from my neuro and he wants to review it with me. If I get told again that they are just panic attacks, I think I am going to scream. I'm probablynervous and upset over nothing, but how can they do this to me right before the weekend?? Has that ever happened to you? You get a call from your doctor telling you to come in at his next available appointment to review a report? So much for a happy weekend. >:(

Update to this. The Monday appointment was an enormous waste of time. My doctor basically went over everything from my last appointment and decided to send me to an epilepsy specialist. I got a copy of the letter from my former neuro. In it, he mentioned that his primary reason for pulling me off meds was for reasons of my reproductive health. I apparently said something that led him to believe I am going to try for children much sooner than I really am. HOWEVER, my former neuro stated that I seemed to be suffering from some significant depression. The reason for this? I was crying. Well.... of course I was crying! I mean, aside from the fact that I was seriously PMSing, he wasn't listening to me at ALL (the note about the babies proves that). He wants me psychiatrically evaluated, notes that I told him I was already evaluated, and rebutts in his letter that I should be RE-evaluated (jerk). So, yesterday afternoon I got a call from my family doctor with the new referral. He did not refer me to the epilepsy specialist, as he said he would. He referred me to a new neurologist in the same clinic. However, I think he forgot that I work at the university campus where the hospital is located. I looked up the neuro on our telecom system to get some info on him. His specialization is in SCHIZOPHRENIA! So, now I'm a little more than pissed. And yes, yes, yes, I know I was going to switch doctors. I can't right now. It's not a simple matter of packing up my records and heading elsewhere. So I have to call the doctor this morning and get this sorted out. .....Does it ever seem like doctors just start making random guesses when they run out of ideas? My hearing test was yesterday, and of course my hearing is perfectly fine.
