Advice about 3yr old son
Sun, 06/12/2016 - 11:48My son has been having staring spells and has also had shaking and gone unconscious several times in the last year and a half. Every doctor,nurse,ems,therapist etc all said they were absence seizures. We just had a six day VEEG, after he was having them back to back and in the ED and in that time his meds (Keppra and Topamax) were stopped and due to a normal EEG were not restarted at this time. He requires further testing. Anybody have any experience with this? Thanks so so much.

I am currently waiting on a call back from his neurologist, then I will find out just how quick I can get him in to be seen. The NP's schedule is usually pretty easy to get an appt with and that is who we are scheduled with in Sept. In the meantime I am keeping a record and noting anything odd or alarming. Thank you for all the advice.
