Absence seizures?

I've been having these episodes for a couple of years now. Neurologist couldn't find anything. Happens during times of great stress. Usual series of events goes as follows:
1. I start to get this heavy feeling in my eyes and chest.
2. I stare off into space and can't get my eyes to move away from a particular spot.
3. I blink less
I only "snap out of it" after some time has passed (10 or so minutes), if someone waves their hand or something in front of my face, or they get me to make eye contact (sticking their face in my line of view).
Is this a psychological thing or a seizure thing?

Amy Jo I know you may have read alot and yo uwant to help just like I want to help. The difference with me is I speak from experiance. Since I have been living and dealing with epilepsy for 50+ years. In many of my seizures a person can caputre my sttention span and yes I come out of the seizure faster. It may not happen during every seizure but in many that I have it does. In my focal seizures (simple partial) I can see, hear and understand everything. In those seizures if a person captures my attention by talking to me I come out of the seizure faster. Speaking from experiance. I still have a lot of reading to do considering I don't know all the newer terms and types ans symptoms.
