Women With Epilepsy

Tue, 11/03/2009 - 08:33

Hello Ladies!

I need women to email me and tell me their epilepsy story, esp. if you have had surgery. And if you had Dr. Devinsky and Dr. Doyle and surgery, that would be even better. I'm currently writing a screenplay about women with epilepsy and I don't know if I want to use my story because someone might have a better story than mine.

For the record, I had my testing in 1997 and my surgery in 1998, if anyone was at the NYU hospital during that time, please contact me.

My email address is gitgirl66@gmail.com and for the record, I do have a degree in screenwriting and thanks to having the surgery, I was able to get it. I'll listen to anyone.

Thank you.

Peace,

Julie

Surgery as in c-sec for childbirth?  Yes, I think that would count.  I  began encountering seizures within 48 hours and it's 20 years later and my seizures have worsened.  Of course it couldn't be the epidural now could it?  No hospital or doctor will ever own up to that.  I'm not the only person who has suffered following an epidural.  I've met plenty of women who began having problems following other female procedures reqiring epi's, spinal blocks, etc. I suffer from Myoclonic seizures.  There is a connection (I just know it) but there isn't enough research being done to confirm.  Didn't have the docs you named, I'm in Georgia.
