Suggestions for Epilepsy Tattoo

Tue, 06/09/2015 - 09:57

Hey folks,

I've wanted a tattoo on my ribs that represents my battle with epilepsy for a while now. Does anyone have one that they really like? I was thinking I would get the results of one of my EEGs and get one of my own brainwaves across my ribs. Has anyone done this? How did it turn out? Any idea/feedback is appreciated.

Ribs might be an awkward place for a brainwave tattoo because of the natural bumpy texture. The back of your neck would be a good location for that since it's flat and is near your head for obvious reasons and the back of your neck doesn't hurt bad at all, ribs can be painful. I think the brain waves idea is very unique. Go with what you like, it's for you and no one else

I thought about shaving a brainwave or heart beat around my head where it is normal on the left side temple and then either flatlines on the right where abnormal activity it's. Or normal brainwaves on the left side and then jagged spikes in the right with the abnormal side.

How to treat epilepsy patients.1. Drug use is the main treatment used to treat epilepsy in children and adults. To help correct the irregularities in the brain, return to normal. The doctor will select the appropriate type and size of the seizure for each patient. It takes about 2-5 years to take until the seizure. The doctor will consider reducing the dose until stopping the medication. 60-70% of patients can be cured of epilepsy. As many as 20-30% of patients can return to seizure. It is necessary to take anticonvulsant for life.2. Electric stimulation It is a treatment method used abroad. And popular in patients with drug resistant epilepsy. And can not be treated by surgery. The method by implanting an electric stimulator into the body. And stimulate through the neck nerve.3. Food control for epilepsy in children. It is a healing therapy. To provide patients with ketone levels in the body, the diet is high in fat and low in protein. This method is suitable for children. Because parents can control food and urine at any time. It will have ketone and the substance will work in children with brain disorders. With severe seizures. Seizures are about 60-70% better and patients with seizures are not affected during this type of feeding. Approximately 30% for epilepsy in adults is not popular with ketogenic diets. Quite tall4. Surgery in patients who are drug resistant or have a clear brain pathology. Doctors treat brain surgery. By analyzing patients thoroughly from the multidisciplinary team. And modern screening procedures with new techniques make it possible for patients to recover from high seizures. Without complications from surgery. In cases where drug therapy is ineffective or surgically untenable It may be used to stimulate the brain with electricity........Patients with epilepsy should take anticonvulsant medication regularly. Or buy drugs themselves. Even thought the symptoms improved. Because the disease may not disappear. May cause seizures again. Only doctor ordered.......
