alternative treatments

Tue, 05/11/2010 - 06:58

I am new to this forum and I expect there are lots of references and posts from others interested in alternatives treatments.

I am the grandmother of a one year old grandaughter who has West Sydndrome.  She has no developmental delay at this stage, she can walk, boy can she talk and all other cognative. fine motor, gross motor, social and emotional development on task for her age.

She has what I describe as head nods, is on Tomamax and I am interested in hearing if any supplements, such a Vitimin B6 have made any improvements to other infanats.

We live in Sydney Australia, are quite ahppy with the medical advice and treament we have received, she has had two EEGs, 1 MIR, all of which have been described as normal, so no brian injury or something nasty there.

She is a total delight and her social interaction and language I would say is in  advance of her chronalogical age.

I am a retired pre school teacher,  teaching children 4-5 years for many years and have had some experience with younger children, so I know more less what to look for in terms of development and all seems to be on track.

We are a family who is interested in alternatives and any ideas I would very much welcome.  I am sure this has been covered before and would appreciate and link to previous posts.

Many thanks
