THE WORLD NEEDS TO GET A WAKE-UP CALL

We need to start demanding it become law to have someone present during legal questioning! I was recently divorced. My ex & I have a 13 year daughter from the marriage. My ex told our daughter he would kill himself if she left him and she is still with him and wants to be with me, he has told her many times he would kill himself and I had a legal aid attorney (that I found out was fired; due to not doing her work correctly). When we went in front of the court investigator (who was suppose to be on childs side). I asked to have my sister present during his questioning to me. I have seizures most people would not know, I even had (staring). He would not allow that and starting yelling at me before we sat down. I thought I had it made; I was wrong. He ruled in my ex's favor except the abuse. My ex was drunk all the time and hooked on drugs. EVEN WANTED ME TO GO TO MY MD TO ALLOW HIM TO USE MARIANNI; which I did not do. My ex lied though his teeth. I do not want any other child to go through this as well as a adult. Any suggestions please sent them to me. THE COURT SYSTEM DOES NOT WORK FOR THE KIDS ANYMORE, THEY WORK FOR THE PERSON WHO PAYS THE MOST.

Sorry to hear of your situation! The Epilepsy Foundation has a Legal Defense Fund where they can help in various ways. For example, they can connect people with lawyers with interest in epilepsy, or give input to legal help on epilepsy issues. I think they also have info on legal rights that may be of interest. Take a look at their site at
