I have gone to the Epilepsyfoundation.com with several links that might help to be able to get some questions answered. http://www.eeoc.gov/policy/docs/qanda-contingent.html. http://www.eeoc.gov/facts/epilepsy.html. http://epilepsyfoundation.org/epilepsylegal/legalinfoctr.cfm. www.epilepsylegal.org. http://www.eeoc.gov/facts/epilepsy.html. http://www.eeoc.gov/policy/docs/qanda-contingent.html. http://epilepsyfoundation.org/epilepsylegal/legalinfoctr.cfm. Thank you. I just lost my job due to me having epilepsy. They knew I had epilepsy before they hired me.  After they sent me through and paid for all of my training they decided to let me go because they think I'm a liability to the company.

Here's the deal, fellow Americans - you are supposed to be protected under the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990... but there's a problem with this because of judicial rulings over the years against this Act.

The following links are from The Epilepsy Foundation Website

Start here and read:

http://www.epilepsyfoundation.org/advocacy/legal/incourt.cfm

Then go to the link below - the Restoration Act of 2008 has already passed the House of Representatives, but is coming up in the Senate after the August recess. At the top of the page when you follow the link, there's a way of entering in your zip code beside the "Action Alert" to generate an automated email to your State Senators.

I say we all get together with family and friends to flood the email boxes of all our Senators with our support for this bill.

Pass this torch to everyone that you know.

I for one, am not going to sit idly by and allow my life to end because of ignorance from the public and greed from the private sector.

There's also a link to find out if your Representative voted for or against this legislation. Only 17 voted against it - I would NOT want to be them come election time if this becomes a major issue! That link is below this entry and it works the same as the previous link above. It generates a Thank You email if they voted FOR the ADA 2008 (That's the way you find out. There's other ways to find out through the roll calls but I don't have the links handy). I would think (and hope) that it does the opposite if they voted against it.

I may start another thread titled Americans with Disabilities Act 2008 just to make sure that this topic gets proper attention in a couple of the forums. I would not want anyone to miss out on voicing their support for this bill.

No matter where you go, there you are...
