walking for epilepsy

Thu, 10/04/2007 - 13:32
Hi! I just thought maybe... I don't know - if couldn't hurt to post here... My 14 year old step-daughter passed away last year from epilepsy (seizure in the bathtub at her mom's house) and this year, I found out about the walk for epilepsy here in Los Angeles. So I signed up and created a team. Been having a hard time tying people down to join the team officially, so my team looks pretty small. But anyway, I'm still looking for sponsors to help us meet our goal! Our team page is at: http://www.epilepsyfreedomwalk.kintera.org/peekspeeps thank you for your time!

Hi Spiritfild, How did you sign up for The Walk for Epilepsy? I heard about it, and hoping to be there too, but haven't figured out how to sign up. I've lived with E. for 42 years, grown tired of keeping it secret, and realize it's time to speak up. The fact is that Epilepsy/Seizure Disorders do exist in the lives of those with seizures, and those who care about them. Thank You for posting this!!! Wreath
