Summer Stroll for Epilepsy

Thu, 04/19/2007 - 14:35
The Epilepsy Foundation of Eastern Pennsylvania (EFEPA) would like to invite you to participate in its annual Summer Stroll event on Saturday, June 23rd, in Fairmount Park, Chestnut Hill, PA. Summer Stroll is a 5-mile, non-competitive walk for individuals with epilepsy, their friends and families, healthcare providers, and members of the general public. After a 5-mile walk, attendees are invited to join in a picnic lunch with children's activities, and special appearances from local sports figures and entertainers. The Stroll is EFEPA's largest fundraiser. It directly supports the Foundation's mission to meet the non-medical needs of individuals with epilepsy and their families through education, support and advocacy. All educational programs and services provided througout the year by EFEPA are free of charge. The Foundation is looking for walkers and volunteers. Please contact: cpipitone@efsepa.org or call 215-629-5003, ext. 105 for more info.

Thanks for sharing the info. If you live outside of Pennsylvania, you can also contact the Epilepsy Foundation affiliate closest to you and see if they have an epilepsy walk too- I know that Massachusetts and Rhode Island has one coming up in early May!

Good luck everyone!
