My left eyelid has been twitching all day. It is driving me crazy!!!!! I am taking Topamax 25mg twice a day. Have had 2 tonic/clonic seizures. Posted more about my situation in the new to site section. Should I call my doc? Have never had eyelid twitching like this before????? Thanks Julie

When I was on Dilantin and Klonopin years ago, I had trouble with my right eye twitching. At the time I was repeatedly told it was a 'tic'. Well, the 'tic' went away when I was switched to Depakote and Tegretol. So it could be a side effect of medication. But I have been researching today to see if I could come across anything regarding epilepsy. This is all I've found so far...see if it helps any. A little over halfway down the page where it is numbered 1-4 gives quick descriptions. Eyelid Myoclonia can happen with or without absences or along with other seizure types. Interesting read, either way. If I come across anything else, I'll post it as well. Take care! -Spiz

Thanks so much everyone. Things have been CRAZY at my house. My oldest daughter has been in and out of the hospital for heart rate problems, think after 4yrs of this we may finally get an answer!! The twitching is still happening almost daily. It is actually happening as I type this right now. I see my neuro next week. After reading that link and lots of other reading and my reaction to the flashing lights during my EEG I am really wondering if I do have photo sensitive seizures. Hopefully they have all my info next week and can actually tell me something this time!! LOL Thanks again everyone!!!
