Second Time around on Topamax....

ok so i been on topamax b4 and the first time didn't go over so well as i would of liked... I had too much weight loss, couldn't sleep, stress, and couldn't focus. so i switched to depakote...
But this time is going really well! better than i expected so far (unusually strange?). I been getting cotton mouth tho, decreased sweating (which makes me tired more easily), weight loss (not as much as i would like but hopeflly more), hard time waking up in the morning, mood swings sum times, but sum times very good and happy moods...
Maybe the first time i went on topamax the dsg was jst too high for me so this time its just right? i'm hoping, cuz i feel really good on it now... and i really dont want to change back to depakote cuz it made me gain alot of weight, so we'll see how it goes. IF u u know ne thing about topamax, please let me know. thanx loula.

Loula, last night I just couldn't sleep because of that very problem! Its like someone is holding my eyes open wide!!! Bex

First I'd like to say hello everyone, I am a new member. Not too new to seizures, been taking seizures for a very long time. Now to Loula, I too am on my second time with Topamax. And it does seem to be working much better this time. I didn't lose as much weight as I did the first time. And falling asleep is not as bad as it used to be. And to anyone else who takes Topamax and experiences tingling, vitamin C is the answer. You wouldn't believe the difference it makes. I just don't know why any Dr. that prescribes Topamax, wouldn't tell you to take vitamin C.

ya i am experiencing my period right now and it does seem like it is harder to get sleep around this time.... thanx for the tip3 im only on 150mg right now, but ill probably end up increasing it tho. yes i to love the weight loss- considering i went on depakote and i gained massive weight lol.... so topamax seems like its starting to kick in now. but i have been experiencing mood swings and bitchy like behavior andmy mouth has been really dry.
