my daughter has been on keppra for one month now. when she was taking 250 3x a day it seemed a good dose but now they upped it to 500 2x a day and really a difference. is this possible? she was great on 250 3xday fun, happy, outgoing. but now with 500 2xday she's crying, thinking too much, worried, very withdrawn looking. suppose to call dr. on monday to let her know if she's changed for the better if not, we will probably go back to 250 3x day. we are weining off of topamax to keppra along with lamictal.... so i think thats why she bumped her higher, as the topamax goes lower.
any thoughts would be appreciated. thanks

dear sbsw11sorry to hear about the szs. they're hard on everyone (the person having the szs, significant others, family and friends). i am about to start keppra as a supplement to my lamictal. everything i've read about keppra says it's used as a supplement to another anti sz medication. it's not usually the only med you take. cheering for you. good luck w/ the szs and hope you never have any more
