how to get the glue out of your hair

Mon, 12/12/2005 - 22:30
As a hairdresser for 20 something years i learned a trick or to. To help you remove the glue from your hair after an E.E.G try this 5 to 7 asprin crushed Half a cup hot water dissolve asprin in water, 2 good size squirts of shampoo, 4 tablespoons whitch hazel or seabreeze mix well all together. Massage thru wet hair and let sit for about 15 to 20 minutes. You can comb thru after alotted time has passed. Rinse and shampoo and condition as usual. Can be repeated if needed. This can also be done once a month to remove traces of medications from your hair.DO NOT NOT GET IN EYES!! and I would not use on childern under 10.

i think you should use cooking oil or kerosene to remove the glue. but it will make your hair a bit rough.

I know this is an older subject, but maybe it can help someone else with the glue in hair problem:  I just got glue out of my husbands hair and only used MINERAL OIL.....just rubbed in a small amount in the area and just worked it in with my fingers, the glue fell off the hair stands as I was trying to separate the strands of hair, it didn't pull his hair or hurt him, (he's a big baby).  LOL

Also, it might depend on what kind of glue that is in the hair.
