Smoking cigarettes and seizures....

Sat, 07/30/2005 - 00:07
I've been a smoker for about 13 years or so now. I'm not a heavy smoker by any means, and I go through a pack every 3-4 days. I just wanted to find out from "other smokers" on this site or any non-smokers who even may know....Does smoking affect epilepsy at all?

How was this suppose to help? My first sentence was out of anger. My second sentence was to point out those with epilepsy that smoke must think of safety of others. The safety is fire. If the epileptic is smoking and has a seizure there is a possibility of a fire. The health comment was not only cancer to the epileptic, but second hand smoke possibly causing those around them to have cancer. I thought when you wrote a post you could be honest. Shouldn't all epileptics be honest with each other. I have been an epileptic for 31 years. NaBox

Definition of a Complete

Definition of a Complete Idiot: Those who do not conform or do as that person believes or does. Color me an idiot...I think for myself and am perfectly comfortable with others making their own decisions. There is a responsibility where second-hand smoke is concerned and believe it or not, I'm sure this is known even to those in the 'epi' world. -Spiz

Safety was not only for secon hand smoke, which I thought was bogus until reports of people with lung cancer who neber smoked in their life. I also included safety due to the possibility of someone with epilepsy having a seizure while smoking and catching not only themselves, but others on fire. As far as IDIOT, that was from anger. The Merriam-Webster dictionary defines IDIOT as feebleminded or foolish person which I felt fit at the time. NaBox
