Smoking cigarettes and seizures....

Sat, 07/30/2005 - 00:07
I've been a smoker for about 13 years or so now. I'm not a heavy smoker by any means, and I go through a pack every 3-4 days. I just wanted to find out from "other smokers" on this site or any non-smokers who even may know....Does smoking affect epilepsy at all?

Anyone with epi. who drinks alcohol or smokes is a complete IDIOT. Evidently those who have epi. and smoke do not care about safety of others. People with epi. must think of their health and those around them. I am sure the moderator is going to write to me, but I don't care. I am just being honest. I don't believe in a PC world. DISAPPOINTED, NaBox

This was supposed to help how? Sometimes it's best to keep your thoughts to yourself here!

How was this suppose to help? My first sentence was out of anger. My second sentence was to point out those with epilepsy that smoke must think of safety of others. The safety is fire. If the epileptic is smoking and has a seizure there is a possibility of a fire. The health comment was not only cancer to the epileptic, but second hand smoke possibly causing those around them to have cancer. I thought when you wrote a post you could be honest. Shouln't all epileptics be honest with each other. I have been an epileptic for 31 years. NaBox
