My daughter takes 500mg morning and night of Keppra, and I give her 50mg of vitamin b6 with each dose and also add biotin at night and she takes a multivitamin. This seems to do no harm and have not had any real mood problems except she is a bit more 'assertive' if you know what I mean, but hey, she IS 16! Also alpha lipoic acid to offset weight gain, and along with all this, I trust God and pray a lot!

i started taking keppra a month agoand have been having horible side-effects from it. i'm clubmsy(burned my hand pouring hot water into a mug) and i'm stumbling all over the place like i'm drunk. i can barely get up in the morning and i'll loose my ballance, sometimes just veer off in another direction while walking. i scared to walk on the sidewalk, i practically hold oto the buildings for fear of stumblin into oncoming traffic. it's not helping at all so, i called my neuro to see if i can just stop it or taper off since he said in the beginning that he doubted it would help. he said (of course the info relayed from me to receptionist to doc to nurce and back to me) to stay on it for a full month at max dose to give it time to see if it might help. man, i feell like i dont care what he says and just stop it now, of course the depression isn't helping either, but i'll stay on it.....will probably stay home another three weeks unless going out with someone else.-basil basil6466@yahoo.com
