can seizures be triggered by intercourse?
Tue, 05/10/2005 - 13:06My partner has what seems to me to be a seizure immediately after we have intercourse. He is 28 and says that it has been happening for about four years now. He is fully concious when it happens but he has no control of his muscle functions, and has a hard time speaking while it is happening. I have tried looking on google and yahoo for any help but there doesn't seem to be any mention of a kind of seizure that could cuase this. If anyone has any suggestions I would be very grateful. I am apparently much more concerned than he is, and I just needed to know if I am over reacting.

Hi, I've had seizures most of my life. Last fall not long after our 19 anniversary my husband and I were having intercourse and I had my first TC right in the middle (after 20 years). My husband thought I was really excited at the time... It took him a couple of minutes to figure out what was going on!!! He still teases me about it.Jeanne

Try to see a neurolgist who ONLY deals with seizures. It's the only way to see what's going on. Ask to have MRI , CT Scans

HAHAAH spiz! So, the depression really isn't caused by all the meds? And what is that word, uhm...intercourse? Hell, if I find out before you, I'll share it..lolKeep safe...classy
