seizures at night

Mon, 01/03/2005 - 18:50

I have a question to ask anyone out there.  I have complex partial seizures.  I do not know what happened, but this morning I woke up and my back was killing me.  I would like to know if it is possible if someone like myself could have a seizure at night, and hurt their back by doing something to it?  Reason I ask this is because I did nothing that I can think of that would have hurt my back this much

I have them at night and sometimes I wake up sore. You probably twisted wrong and hurt your back or back mussles.  Sometimes I take a good hot bath and that helps to relax me when I wake up from a seizure of that kind. You should tell your doctor though. It is good to have it documented. Everyone with seizures should keep a journal -- of how you feel each day etc. It helps to find patterns if they can be found. I have no specific pattern, myself but it helps to remember if you might have had one or not. Hope you feel better.

...I bit my tongue for the first time 2 days back at night, am still not fully healed am scared that any more force & I might have cut it right off. Not to mention I can't lift my right hand up.Its the first time i have had CPS while asleep. In fact, have just figured out what these memory lapses are. I have been having them for almost 3-4 years. I guess i am just really scared & found this website & someone with a similar issue. How do you deal with it? Any input / information will be good, am completely new at this.
