Hey does anyone have temporal lobe epilepsy and have trouble with seizures around certain times of the year. I havent been diagnosed with epilepsy for very long and recently have started having a significant amount of seizures and I wasnt sure if maybe this time of year just isnt good for me. Last year around this time of year was when things got really bad for me and months later I was diagnosed but have been told I have had epilepsy for many years. Just wanting other people opinions, Thanks!

Yea, I had a head injury when I was two. Ended up having a subdural hematoma. Had a lot of problems in school growing up they thought I had a learning disability, it wasn't until about a year to a year in a half ago that things started to get strange and then in January I was diagnosed with epilepsy. I was told that I have probably been having seizures my entire life.

Hi

I read your post.

You said you haven't been diagnosed for very long which means you might have been on a medication and the dosage may need to be changed or even a new medication may need to be added. There are generally reasons for having seizures, Understand weather may not cause the seizures but what is in the air causes different things to happen. IN spring people get hay fever. Well they also get it in fall becasue of other plants which grow better in colder weather.

you might want to check with your neuro and ask him this question or just explain you are having more seizures and you would like to know why?

I would give  mine a call and leafe a message or question. I know I will get an answer from his assistant or him.

Well, when all the seizures started I called my neuro and kept trying to get in and couldn't. They upped my medication 3 times in a month maybe 5 weeks and it did not help. I continued to have more and more seizures. I had my neuro appt a few days ago and explained everything to him and at this time I had thought this could have all been caused from a possible concussion. I had a ct scan and that came back normal. He did switch my meds so hopefully that will help. I was told when I was diagnosed that I had epilepsy for many years due to a subdural hematoma when I was 2. I am now 27. So I am still learning and trying to figure things out which I am sure is a never ending process.
