deja vu aura

Can someone tell me again what a deja vu aura is like.  Are you remembering the seizure as if it was a familiar event or do you just get a familiar feeling without really knowing what it is about and you just can't put your finger on it.  I've gotten these but it's hard to describe it that good.

I just wanted to add an additonal point to this. I saw an episode of the the Dr Oz Show recently in which he interviewed the Long Island Medium....sorry I cannot recall her name off hand! Anyways, they had her hooked up to an EEG as she was giving a reading to one of the audience members. When they analyzed her brain activity during the reading, she had an abnormal reaction in one area of the brain. The doctor said that type of activity is seen in patients experiencing seizures. Maybe your deja vus are signs of something more.

I had 3 of my "episodes" today. I first get the deja vu, ringing in the ears, my body and head are on fire and I get that feeling of impending doom. Then the aura settles in. I can see this small man, he's always there. It's as if I'm remembering a dream, but don't remember dreaming it. This only last for maybe 20 seconds, but terrifies the heck out of me. When it's finished with my mind and body, I'm exhausted feeling sick to my stomach. I just found this site today and am elated that I'm not loosing my mind. I've been going through these episodes for over 15 yrs now. I've had e.k.g. and e.e.g. tests done back when it first started. The doctor's didn't seem to know what I was talking about. Of course I don't tell anyone, until now. It's hard to explain what I feel and see when I go through this, time and time again. Tammy
