No MSG, No Rolandic epilepsy

Wed, 05/02/2012 - 23:04
My 9 year old son had Rolandic epilepsy.  We noticed that he had them more frequent when we ate Chinese food, known for using MSG (monosodium glutimate).  We stopped eating there and carefully read packages of ingredients of what he ate.  It has been two year now and he hasn't had one seizure.  It may not work for everybody but it worked for us.

Hi,

I have sensitivty to MSG. When I eat it in larger quantitys - usually in Asian food - I would experince tingly hands and get more auras. I think that it can be a trigger. Just thought I would share also! I have tonic-clonic.
