Does anyone else feel like you know when your seizure is coming?

Hey, I'm new...I've had epilepsy since I was about 11...I'm almost 18 now. Anyways, sometimes, most days when I'm about to have a seizure, throughout the day, I have these weird "feelings". I can't really describe it, but I think there is a word for it, like a warning signal I guess. I don't know if anyone knows what I'm talking about. But the feeling is really weird, like all of a sudden, I get the chills, and my body feels cold, and I get this weird feeling, almost like a da sha vuu, like I remember "thinking" this thought before, but then I forget it. I don't know...it's very weird, and I know I'm probably not making any sense. Anyways, I know I'm not having a seizure then because I am fully conscious and don't make any movements. But I might have a few of those moments through out the day leading up to my seziure.

Anyways, I was just wondering if anyone else got thos feelings, since I suspect it's related to my epilepsy. Or maybe you want to share any other ways you know you're seziure is coming on.

I have complex partial seizures by the way.

Yes, they are very hard to explain! For me, by the time the aura feeling arrives, it's too late to respond. Numb, de ja vue and an all over strange sensation. I have absence and complex partial seizures, anytime of the day.

I'm so glad we can all make "no sense together" and understand it! I have found this site to a great place for information and support.

Welcome and thank you for sharing.

I know exactly what you are feeling. So People do have arua. I have had seizures all of my life, the docters told my mom I was having fainting spells and would grow out of them. I didn't and at the age of 33 was dianosed with seizures. And then things started to make sense I would only get them once a year or if I was really sick. Triggers can be lack of sleep, Dehydratation, and stress.

I get an arua before a grand mal seizure it is very hard to discribe you are right about that but for me It's like a tingling feeling that starts in my hands and arm and increases in intensity and envolopes my body I will try to lay down imediately. And so times thats stops them. But I will usually have a seizure and wake up tried  look grey and be very weak and thirsty. It will take a couple of days to recover.

please forgive the spelling mistakes that is one of the areas that my seizure affect. Also my memory is affected
