simple partial seizures and headaches?

Topic: Living With Epilepsy - Adults
I was diagnosed with simple partial seizures a few years ago. During the seizures I would have headaches. Since going on keppra, the seizure symptoms have gone away, but I have been suffering from chronic debilitating headaches for years! The last 2 times I have had the headaches, some of my weirder seizure symptoms presented themselves. I am beginning to think the headaches are part of the seizures and that the seizures were never fully under control, but my neuro seems to think differently. He thinks the headaches are from myofascial pain syndrome or cervical dystonia...but I think their occurrences are too coincidental to be an independent issue. Does anyone know if migraines and/or headaches can be a part of these seizures? If so, what can I do about it. I've been on keppra 1000 mgs 2 times per day with 100 mgs of topamax, but still had the headaches. I am currently on 500 mgs keppra twice a day without the topamax.

I realize you quit smoking, but you were aware of the risks.  My mother smoked for 15 years, quit in the '60's, and still got emphysemia!  Breathing is extremely difficult and painful.  You might consider asking God to let you stop suffering and come home.  I doubt if breathing will get easier.  Smoking at all, compounded by pollution and other air contaminants, all cause emphysemia, heart disease, cancer, etc. 

Are you on the West Coast?  Japan's radiation hit us today.   Just like they don't want their people to panic, we're not being given the entire truth.  Please pray for us.  We need it.

T, The levels of radiation reaching California are extremely low. Please don't worry about it. It isn't a good thing, but it isn't enough to cause injury. The emissions from car exhaust and fossil fuel burning power plants are causing far more harm. I saw a pulmonologist since I made the video. I'm not very happy with him and I don't trust him. He said I may not have emphysema yet. He said it is hard to distinguish the beginning stages of emphysema from bad asthma/COPD. If I can't get to a clean environment, I will. My level of inflammation is extremely high and that can cause emphysema. Yes, I knew the risks of smoking. No, I was not a heavy smoker except for one very brief period, maybe two months. For some of the time it was a pack or less a day and in the later years, half a pack or less. The pulmonologist indicated to me that I quit long enough ago that he didn't think it was a big factor. It's more likely living in a high pollution area and breathing in the aftermath of 9/11 are what got me. I will never know. G-d will take me in His time. I have no wish to hasten my demise even though I am in great pain. I am ill for other reasons at the moment and very unhappy with my doctor. I need to doctors I can trust. Remember, you'll be in my prayers.  In addition to our AEDs, that's all we can do for now.  You might not be able to find a doctor you can trust, because your case is so difficult to treat.
