Smoking marijuana and drinking

I was just reading on this website all of the forums about drinking and smoking cigarettes and how bad they are for you. It didnt say anything about weed and I smoke weed maybe once a week or once every two weeks and is it bad for having seizures? Also if you drink maybe two beers to three beers once a weekend is that bad?

I used to smoke; it helped out a lot. But then every time I smoked I started having seizures. At first I thought it was because it was a certain kind of weed but it's been happening for almost a year now. I smoked a couple weeks ago and didn't have a seizure, then tried again a few days later and had one. You said one kind of cannibus causes seizures... could that be the problem? It's been driving me crazy.

Hey

I was diagnosed with epilepsy back in 2008 and over this time I have used medical marijuana as an occasional stress reliever and doing so has also increased my knowledge on it.  The two main types of marijuana are sativas and indicas.  While sativas give you a mind high, indicas give you a body high.  Sativas help uplift the user and my experience with this strain has been a little scary because the uplifting feeling made me too jittery as if I were about to have a seizure; very uncomfortable.  Indica, on the otherhand, is great for relaxation and mellowing the user out which makes for an ideal strain for epilepsy.  The only drawback of indicas is that they tend to mellow the user so much that they aren't ideal for use if you need to get stuff done.  Hope this helped!
