Hey Cloudy, I'm currently taking lamictal only and have had similar issues. I even have panic attacks from time to time because I can't figure out if something was real or in a dream. I haven't discussed this with my doctor, I may make a note for my next appointment. Good luck, you are not alone. Kenny

I experienced no side effects with Lamictal, but Topamax was a horrific experience. Depression, memory loss, and a general dumbing down. I truly believe it is a horrible drug, and unless you are desperate to lose weight, I would stay away from it. I did lose my appetite and lost weight.

I agree topamax is an awful drug. I started it a year ago and complained many times to my doctor about the side affects but she dismissed them all. I was not able to write my high school exams properly because I couldn't remember what I studied two hours later. I recently have been experiencing the dreams. One night I dreamed a called someone and talked to them, I woke up and that person had called but I never did pick up or even hear my phone because it was off. I often can't remember what is a dream or reality. I wasn't too sure if this was from the drug. But that's interesting. Good luck ! :)
