I've taken both together, but  Topamax causes the craziness.  Look up hallucinigenic AED's.  Topamax is one of the worst.  I participated in a study before it came to market.  My  experiences were horrible.  Dreams are dreams.  That doesn't affect real life.   When it starts causing hallucinations during the day, that's a problem.  I found that I couldn't remember the  day of the week, so sometimes I took extra, others I didn't take any.

That made it a nightmare.  I had horrible itching.  The doctor kept telling me it would go away; which it didn't.  My caregiver (and best friend) found me on the couch, unresponsive to anything.  He drove me down to the doctor and brought me in for him to see.  They did a CT scan to see if I'd had a stroke.  It wasn't a stroke, just the Topamax; which I was immediately removed from.  Topamax is extremely dangerous.  I'm surprised it ever made it to market.

I am able to sleep but man..

I am able to sleep but man...my dreams are crazy vivid and real. A few have been good but most revolve around water and me or someone else drowning. I have to reorient myself when I wake and tell myself it was just a dream.
