Epigastric Rising/ Gustatory Hallucination

Topic: Living With Epilepsy - Adults
Can this Epigastric Rising thing feel like almost a hunger type sensation that starts in your stomach and moves upwards? Sometimes I get a horrible nasty taste in my mouth after the rising thing. It has nothing to do with hygiene or what I ate and is gone as quickly as it comes.  I hear people smelling strange smells with Sz but what about tasting gross tastes?

Does it ever feel like something is pinching or stabbing inside you're upper and lower lips when the tastes are happening? Your mouth has something made of metal in it with too much salt on it ?

actually, it tastes like a dead rat (not that I would know what a dead rodent tastes like) and no pinching or stabbing, just the nastiest taste.  thank God it only lasts a few seconds to 15 sec. or  so

I get the dead rat, rot taste sometimes with no flash of a memory. It is disgusting. I get this 'impulse' to open my mouth to exhale ALL of it. And for my to it lasts only seconds. I am functional following this.

I have a taste also associated with a flash of particular memory. It is always the same memory. I taste the pizza from the lunch room in second grade. I know it's that particular pizza for some reason.The taste is so overpowering I almost loose the ability to stand upright. Following this taste, I sleep. I can not help falling asleep.
