HELP How do I get the sticky gel outta my hair?

Wed, 05/26/2010 - 19:17

Hello....

I had a ambulatory EEG for the past 3 days. The wires were just taken out, Now I'm stuck with all this sticky gel in my hair. Shampoo does not work.  I need advice on some other ways to clean my hair. Please!!

Thank you... Aloha, Rena!

i have been in more times than i can count, so i am so sorry to hear this!  i don't think you want to do the Acetone yourself, considering this is basically nail polish remover and if you leave in on your scalp for too long you can wind up burning off chunks of your hair!  what always worked for me was Nexxus Humectres conditioner.  i would use tons of the stuff and a fine tooth comb (but not one of those pointy ones, i am sure your scalp hurts already!) and just work on your head section by section.  the only thing that is going to remove the glue is something oily.  apply, comb, rinse, repeat until the entire scalp is done and then use a mild shampoo, like baby shampoo.  thiis as always been my pos EMU routine.  i hope that helps you some!
