seizures at night

Mon, 01/03/2005 - 18:50

I have a question to ask anyone out there.  I have complex partial seizures.  I do not know what happened, but this morning I woke up and my back was killing me.  I would like to know if it is possible if someone like myself could have a seizure at night, and hurt their back by doing something to it?  Reason I ask this is because I did nothing that I can think of that would have hurt my back this much

My Wife started having what sounds like the same exact issue when she was 26.  She is 28 now and is still only having them at night.

Its odd how simular your story and ours seem.  She has them about the same frequency as your son, and they are usually right after we go to sleep, or right before we would normally wake up.  She has had 1 while taking a nap.

I would love to hear about your experience since this post was made.  Email me jack@lcsnc.org

peace R.C. Yes ...sorry I thought i posted this before. I all ready have/had lower disc probs from work and did not realize that the szs in my sleep were agrevating this A LOT . This is now a constant with me and I am I guess in the progress of proving it . The gal alone leaves me physically sore ,headaches, black n blue, twisted, brain dead, etc.etc. for 8 days and then the "sore" back takes mo,s to heal just to sit properly let alone lift anything . I am just now figuring a lot of this out and in fact go see a physical therapist tues at the v.a to explain it . any siggestions? Yes this is a very real . Rick

Yes injury can be a problem

Hi

I have control of my Tonic Clonic seizures but  when I was not in control I would have seizures and sometimes fall out of bed leaving me with an aching back and extreme fatigue for a few days. There is some possibility that a seizure may cause the body to jerk just the wrong way and pull a muscle. My lawyer once asked me if I had  anything like that when I was considering a lawsuit for a rear end collision.
