seizures at night

Mon, 01/03/2005 - 18:50

I have a question to ask anyone out there.  I have complex partial seizures.  I do not know what happened, but this morning I woke up and my back was killing me.  I would like to know if it is possible if someone like myself could have a seizure at night, and hurt their back by doing something to it?  Reason I ask this is because I did nothing that I can think of that would have hurt my back this much

I spent a week in Saint Barnabas Hospital and I had electodes conected to my head for the whole week.  There was a video camera in my room so the nurses could watch me 24/7.  They lowered my medication so the doctor could see where, in my brain they were coming from.   Good Luck everyone!

as you can already tell. yes you can get hurt if you seize at night.  seizures can happen during the changes in the stages of sleep.  specifically the dream state.  you are not alone.  hope it helps.  e-mail if you wish.  rikk

I started having seizures as my MS progressed.   I go through between 3 weeks to 2 months of relapse, have a severe headache during the day into the night and then when laying down to sleep I have a seizure.  My seizures have been full body jerks to one side of the body (my left side) jerking.   I spend a couple of days in the fog, lose more memory and have my comprehension ability worsen.   I have been keeping a log and it seems that over the last two years I have had more relapses, so my functional times are alot less and my seizures make me more disfunctional.
