Did they ever do the MRI????
I highly suggest vitamin B for a way to counter act the keppra. We have had great luck with it controlling the mood swings in my 10 year old son. I can always tell if he does not take his one morning vitamin b pill.

I'm 23, and have been on keppra for about a year now, I don't think it's right to put a child on this stuff, I have had a big problem with trying to deal with the moodiness and depression this stuff causes along with the difficulty of trying to get through a post graduate college course. At least at my age I understand that it is the medication causing the problems it must be quite frustrating for a child to experience these things in their formative years, if an alternative is available take it! I doubt the Keppra has caused any damage however as it is being praised for it's non-toxicity etc. Luckily I've been able to reduce my doseage and the side affects have also been reduced but not to a level that I am content with. Seek an alternative.
