Burning and tingling in hands and arms?

Tue, 06/17/2008 - 20:54
Does anyone have burning or tingling feeling in their fingers, hands and on up? I'm new to this and I don't know if its my medicine or something else. It's really scary!

I get the tigling/hot sensation in my right arm and right side of my face sometimes as an aura and sometimes before I go into a partial seizure or gran-mal. I've had that since I was 10 years old. The Tingling usually lasts between 5-30 sec. for me. So it may be that your having an aura or a small seizure. However if this sensation is a constant thing that does not go away it may be a problem with your med. one that you should have checked out.  Best advice I can give is to tell your Doc all the details of the episodes and then you can decide together where to go from there. I know its scary but dont worry, but dont let it get you down.

Hope this helps you and you start to make some progress :)  If you need anything else drop me a line.

I get that lots, I get the tingling feelings in my hands and feet, a lot at night, its disturbing to my sleep in fact.  To me, if feels like electrical impulses shooting out my hands and feet...very annoying.   I have complex partial seizures since I was 30, I'm now 48.

Sounds like possible side effects to meds......April/May 2006 I started taking Trileptal....can remember getting tingling sensations. However it could of been from several things.....going OFF Depakote OR when I STARTED the Trileptal, without getting more confused there were other circumstances....having said that.....it is Jun/July 2008 the tingling is there BUT not as strong of a sensation so I'm not sure yet what is the cause. However if your sensation gets stronger there is an underlining problem. Do as what your doctor would advise.....keep a journal and record how you feel that day--scale of 1-10. Take care.....
