Emergency VEEG

So, I don't have long to write but Kaitlyn has to go to St Louis tomorrow morning (for those who aren't familiar that's about an 8 hour drive from us). So we are going to leave in the middle of the night to get there in time for our 11:00 AM check in. She has been having a lot of weird behaviors lately and way to many seizures. She has tried her 8th medication and that didn't go over to well but since she is on so many different medicines now it's hard to tell. So hopefully this VEEG will show something that is helpful for us... and the doctors so that way they can better treat her and figure out what to do to help her. We are starting to feel helpless (ok, well we were already but now it's worse) and desperate (ok again... I know... I was already!!). This is such an awful time for us to have to go there but we have to do what we have to do and we are aware of that. It's just hard.

We have to run to the body shop today, our car has been in the shop for 2 weeks getting repaired after the hubby backed into a bob cat (the heavy machinery that is.. not the animal). That was great, our deductible to get that fixed and now a trip to St Louis.... the timing couldn't have been worse. Seriously.... it just happens like this for us I guess. When we went to pick up our car last Friday it looked awful, I raised a stink about how it's brand new and shouldn't look less than, so back into the shop it went and well hopefully 2nd times a charm because we can't afford to not have it... we are car less right now... ugh!! So we'll see. I just hope our luck turns around.

I had an EEG done this week.... we'll see what that shows. Hopefully I know something soon about that too... but not holding my breath.

Well I should go and do laundry, pack and all of that fun stuff. Not much time to pack for 4 people for a week long trip... but here's to hoping I can do it all...

Good luck in St. Louis, and with your results as well!!  You sure do have a lot going on, my hats off to you super mom. I know what you mean about the "worst timing" and it always happens that way for you guys.  I feel that way a lot too.  I was told it comes in waves???  Anyways, be safe.-Karen
