Some fine tuning required.....

January 16th Dilantin was dropped to 25mgs. Current Keppra is 750am and 625pm.  Plan was to drop Dilantin completely February 4th.

Friday, while giving a math mid-term to my second graders, I began to feel somewhat "fuzzy" and my head felt as though air was being pumped into it.  I didn't need to leave the room and was able to continue with the day. It wasn't like my usual simple partials in that I didn't experience Deja vu and was able to see my thoughts to their conclusions, even though some confusion was evident. Friday night in chat I didn't fee too great either.

Yesterday (Monday) I felt some of the same during the day. While chatting with Sherri last night I felt as though I could "slip away" and decided to get to bed early.  I had a headache complete with that "full feeling".

Unfortunately, when I woke up this morning, my headache was still there.  I felt better by the time I left for work, but a little before lunch, the feeling of confusion came once more. I had to ask students to repeat things to me, and decided to call my Doctor. I left a message with his office that I'd had some  minor seizure symptoms, that I was functioning, but just wanted to speak with someone.

His nurse got back to me after school and I've been told to increase my evening Keppra dose to 750 and I'm not to drop the Dilantin next week as we had planned.

I'm not sure why I'm  experiencing this after such nice success, lately, but I feel so "off" tonight that I'm taking the day off tomorrow. I had one full simple complete with Deja vu feeling before starting this post.  I can do paperwork at home, and lay down if necessary.   I"ll email lesson plans into school in the morning.

I wonder what's going on?

Io sono stanca. I'm tired.

Sorry to hear you aren't feeling well Anna, when i started to read your post I thought...ahh.. the flu.  Maybe resting today will be the best thing for you .. I hope so. No biggie if you have to go a little longer with the dilantin..I know you want to get rid of it, but you must stay safe!!  Soon....   It took a long time for John to get rid of his all the way....

Feel better soon, take it easy today....miss talking to you, I really need to make it to chat sometime soon!

Anna,

Darn, I was hoping you were just coming down with a flu bug of some kind.

Take it easy tomorrow and get some rest!  I will be thinking of you.
